The tactics of Chess and Go are combined into an almost Perfect pure strategy board. Both the 8-sided and 1-sided boards lend additional strategy, which feels like two games in one. This has quickly become of my favorite boards.

Having played both sides, I can say that the second play is at a noticeable disadvantage. Good idea, but less than stellar board.

The fact that it is symmetrical leaves even less to chance as far as placement goes (when compared to other maze boards). Excellent board.

Surprising number of strategies for such a straightforward concept. I recommend playing with 4 players so nobody gets too cozy.

Excellent execution of concept, each attack has to be calculated perfectly. Huge replayability.

Also suggest making a "capture the flag" variation, but the flag carrier would have to be limited to only moving X number of squares per turn.
